Do not grieve too long!

#whywemarch

Today is a sad day for our country.  A reality TV star who created the " birther movement", the original bearer of fake news, is being inaugurated as our next President of the United States.  The one reality he knows is TV ratings.  Let's give him the same respect, understanding and dignity he showed President Obama....Turn off the TV, boycott MSNBC, ABC, CNN, etc... Read More about Lessons from Hillary Clinton....

Life Lessons I've learned from Hillary
- Marty Ross-Dolen  January 19, 2017

Be impenetrable.  Repel the venom.  Reject fear.

Listen.  Nod.  Look into their eyes.

Show your joy.  Wear your smile.  Laugh big.

Be you.  And don't apologize for it.

Honor from whence you came.  Cherish your childhood friends.  Celebrate your education.

Shimmy.

Take a break.  A cough becomes pneumonia.  Let them fill in.

Take your hot sauce, whatever your hot sauce may be.  Value the familiar.  Turn everything into your own ideal.

Champion your cause.  Speak for the voiceless.

Fight for children.  Always.

When nature calls, answer.  Even if you have to walk down a long hallway.  Even if it means that you will be late to the debate.

Be kind.  Pick up a piece of paper that someone dropped.  Take a million selfies with others.

Be the best prepared.

Love your family.

Hold tight to your dignity.  Tell others to do the same.

Inspire.

Be brave.  Be bold.  Be the first.

This blog was retired when Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren won the Senate seat in 2012.

Being a team leader was the first time I actively participated in an election outside of casting a vote. It allows one to meet amazing people with similar values, a shared core vision and purpose as the candidate. Elizabeth Warren is the voice of MA in the U.S. Senate.

Her life's work is standing up to and holding the government, large corporations, Wall Street and banks accountable. She stand up for the working and middle class families who are unable to do it for themselves.

We are incredibly proud of the work she has done.  We need her now more than ever.

If she does not speak for us who will?

We are reviving the blog in honor of Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017.

The question is simple please answer it #whywemarch

#whywemarch is to demonstrate that our children and especially our grandchildren will inherit a country where all people matter, not just the wealthy few.  As a nation, we have come too far; however, not far enough to know that we are stronger together. #wearestrongertogether #weareone

Let us not be divided by our fears.  Bigotry, ignorance, silence and complacency equals death.  We march for women, children and families who are struggling to put food on the table, earn a decent wage and have access to quality, and affordable health care. If the role of government is not to take care of its most vulnerable than what is its purpose?

Women's March on Washington January 21, 2017 Why We March

Nasty women from all over the country are getting ready to March on Washington on January 21, 2017.  Thanks to my mother, Betty Boop, her nasty knitting needles just knitted pussy hats for me and nasty friend.

Why go to DC?  I feel very fortunate that I am able and we live in a country where we can express our dissatisfaction with our government. The next president and the Republican administration is about to turn back time. We are marching because women rights are human rights.  We march in support for inclusion, diversity, gender equality, fair access to clean air, fresh water and quality health care for all.

As we celebrate our 5 year old grandson birthday on January 21, 2017, the march on Washington DC is to let him know that a bully is not worthy of the presidency.  There a millions of people who don't believe in his vision of America.

The vision for my beautiful 5 year old grandson and 4 year old niece is to grow up in an American without bigotry, hatred, ignorance and racism.
